Sustainable and Environment-friendly Industrial Production (SEIP-II)

Background:

Under the Indo German Development Cooperation, the project on "Sustainable and Environment-friendly Industrial Production II" (SEIP II) is being implemented from March 2019 to February 2023 with a focus on industrial wastewater management. The objective of the SEIP II project is, "The strategic and operational governance structures of the Indian Government to effectively combat water pollution from industrial wastewater are strengthened”. SEIP II Project works at the national level with the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC), Government of India and with the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), and at State level with the industrial development corporations and state pollution control boards of Uttarakhand, Bihar and West Bengal. Several outputs and successful models related to digital applications, guidelines and manuals, new organisational units, training modules, innovative approaches etc. related to strengthening of operational governance for improving industrial wastewater management in the country.

About the Conference:

GIZ is organising a one-day Conference on “Sustainable and Environment-friendly Industrial Production (SEIP-II)” with the aim of disseminating results, experiences and successful models to the relevant government agencies to benefit them in planning measures for strengthening governance for improving industrial wastewater management in the country. The one-day National Conference will provide a platform to enable networking among various stakeholders including representatives of the Indian central ministries, national level and States; selected agencies to exchange related experiences and knowledge.
