Webinar: Best Available Techniques (BATs) for the Indian Foundry Sector

A webinar on “Best Available Techniques (BATs) for the Indian Foundry Sector: Enhancing Resource Efficiency and Green Technologies” is being organised on Tuesday, 17 October 2023, under the ongoing Indo-German Development Cooperation, in the project on “Best Available Techniques for Selected Industry Sectors (BAT)”, which is being implemented by GIZ, and commissioned by BMUV as part of the Export Initiative Environmental Protection (EXI).  

Regulatory authorities, industries and industry associations have expressed their interest in understanding the Best Available Techniques (BATs) followed in the German foundry sector to improve their resource efficiency and adopt green technologies. This webinar is a step towards enabling a dialogue between the key stakeholders in India and Germany. Professor Gotthard Wolf of the Foundry Institute of the Technical University Bergakademie Freiberg will be the expert speaker. The focus of the webinar will be to understand the technologies and processes to enhance resource and energy efficiency, and curb fugitive emissions in the foundry sector.
