Virtual Coffee: Main takeaway results from the Circular Economy Solutions Dialogues (CESD) on EPR

In this Virtual Coffee Konstantinos Karampourniotis and Magdolna Molnár will present the highlights and outcomes of the Circular Economy Solutions Dialogue (CESD) stream about Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR): From Extended to Ultimate Producer Responsibility (UPR) - The building blocks of a vision that needs to go global.

We are very much looking forward to presenting this format to you and discussing the insights we have gained during this CESD stream.

Over the past few months, around 30 participants have exchanged views and discussed various areas of EPR as part of the Circular Economy Solutions Dialogue (CESD), an interactive online dialogue series. The participants came from a diverse range of backgrounds, including policy makers, businesses, representatives of civil society, academia, think tanks and international organisations, Our aim was to enable an exchange of different perspectives. Topics they discussed were:

1) The state of the art of EPR systems globally and in selected countries

2) Designing successful EPR strategies: The first steps

3) Implementation of potential tools, solutions and alternative approaches for EPR strategy deployment

4) Financing EPR frameworks
