Innovative way to manage chicken waste
a success story from the coastal state in India - Kerala
The illegal dumping of chicken waste is a common problem all over India. It often ends up with polluting water bodies and the environment and affecting human health. To tackle this public health problem, Suchitwa Mission Govt of Kerala come up with a clean policy framework to address the issues related to inappropriate management of the chicken waste.
Chicken stalls functioning in Kerala generates roughly 1100 TPD of chicken waste. The success story of proper management of chicken waste demonstrates the supportive methodology adoptable by local bodies in other states as well, to address this menacing issue.
