From Law to Action: Designing and Implementing Producer Responsibility Organisations
virtual
In a world increasingly focused on sustainable economies, Producer Responsibility Organisations (PROs) play a key role in building effective waste management systems. But how can we design and implement a PRO that meets governmental expectations and is able to operate effectively?
In this introductory session of our webinar series “PRO around the globe” Dr. Fritz Flanderka will share his knowledge on implementing PROs in EPR systems. He has been involved in the set-up of the first global PRO and has since contributed to the development of several EPR regulations worldwide. Under Reclay, he is managing seven PROs around the world.
This session is essential for anyone involved in designing and implementing PROs within EPR frameworks.
Dr. Fritz Flanderka will address the following key questions:
- From a governmental perspective: What legal requirements are needed to ensure that PROs can and will establish effective and sustainable waste management systems?
- From a PRO perspective: What is needed to set up and run a PRO effectively in the initial phase?
🌱This webinar series "PROs Around the Globe" is organized by the GAP for EPR and the GreenTechKnowledgeHub of the Export Initiative for Environmental Protection. We are excited to host a total of six insightful webinars featuring different organisations sharing their best practices, challenges and PRO facilities.
