How can international co-operation unlock solutions for a breakthrough of a circular economy? What kind of cooperation is required? What cooperation supports the implementation of solutions?

This session will spotlight concrete illustrations from south-south and north-south cooperation, especially Africa and Asia, to demonstrate how technology and new policy approaches support the development of a circular economy. It will also discuss the role of macroeconomic fora, like the G20, in accelerating technology transfers.

Key takeaways from this session will be:

  • to draw lessons from real-world examples of circular economy implementation
  • to facilitate best-practice sharing with others working on similar projects; and
  • to foster more opportunities for open dialogue to identify and respond to global & local challenges, with the ultimate goal of enhancing and promoting the circular economy agenda.

The sessions’ target audience are stakeholders from business, international development cooperation, national and subnational public authorities in charge of adequate economic framework conditions.

This event is an Accelerator Session at the World Circular Economy Forum 2022 (www.WCEF2022.com). It is co-organized by GIZ (giz.deand GSI (global-solutions-initiative.org)
