Virtual Coffee: The right to repair in Europe

Repair is an important lever for protecting resources and sustainably transforming our economy. Although many people would like to repair more, they are doing it less and less. 

Why is that? Mainly because repairing is often time-consuming and expensive and many people have lost touch with the actual practice of repairing. The German association Runder Tisch Reparatur together with its partners within the Right to Repair Europe coalition is campaigning for a relaunch of a repair culture and a right to repair. In other words, repairing things needs to be easier and more affordable again. The EU adopted the right to repair last year and member states must now implement it. However, many important issues remain unresolved.
