ForestGuard: An open-source blockchain for deforestation-free supply chains

In the face of growing regulatory and societal demands for sustainable sourcing, transparent supply chains are no longer optional - they're essential.

Our speaker Thuy Tien Nguyen Thi, is a Research Associate at Fraunhofer IML and explores the role of distributed ledger technology in building sustainable supply chains. She works across research, business, and policy to advance real-world adoption of Web3 technologies.

The ‘Innovations and Solutions’ webinar series is initiated by the GIZ project ‘Environmental Protection Worldwide’ as part of the Export Initiative for Environmental Protection launched by the German Federal Ministry for the Environment. The Export Initiative aims to promote knowledge transfer, support the development and strengthening of networks, and provide advice to suppliers of environmental technologies on possible applications and investments in target countries.
